Revd Dr Charles Bidwell, Chair of the Academic Senate and Convener of the MTS Committee, volunteers with Camp fYrefly, as well as many other social service groups within Edmonton.

Marie Butler, a Master in Psychotherapy and Spirituality specializing in Art Therapy alumna, provides art therapy at the Cross Cancer Institute and the AHS Department of Psychosocial and Spiritual Resources. A recent article from the Edmonton Journal can be read through this link.

Revd Emmanuel Gatera, Founder and Executive Director of YEGO Rwanda, is a current Doctor of Ministry student in the process of completing his Project Dissertation in which he is researching the development of a clinical pastoral approach to trauma therapy in Rwanda.

Terry Kassa, Master of Theological Studies alumna, Associate Faculty and member of the MTS Committee, is involved with food security initiatives in Edmonton and is a volunteer advocate with The Neighbour Centre a resource centre for adults experiencing homelessness or poverty.

Elizabeth Short, Founder of en-courage, is a Master of Theological Studies alumna who is currently working with individuals from the Stoney Nakoda First Nation Reserve offering Grief and Loss facilitation.

Doug Stollery, QC, Former Chancellor of St Stephen’s College, serves as a member of the Board of Directors of CARE Canada and the Stephen Lewis Foundation, as a volunteer for AIDS Free World and as President of the Stollery Charitable Foundation.

Pierrett Requier, is a Master of Theological Studies alumna who is currently serving as the 6th Poet Laureate for the City of Edmonton.

Dr Dawn Waring, Associate Faculty and member of the MTS Committee, joined the World Council of Churches in Bethlehem for three months as an Ecumenical Accompanier.

Revd Dr Geoff Wilfong-Pritchard, Doctor of Ministry alumnus and former Interim Chair of the DMin program, presents his DMin dissertation research at the “Myths as Narratives of Empowerment and Disempowerment” conference, held at the University of Jendouba in Tunisia.
